It is not God’s design for us to live the Christian life alone. We desperately need each other in order to better understand God’s word, to gain practical wisdom about living the Christian life, and to make it through hard seasons. An essential part of the culture we aim to create at Covenant Baptist Church happens through discipling relationships.
In these relationships, two, or maybe three, Christians of the same sex get together to do one or all of the following: study the Bible, read and discuss a good Christian book, hold one another accountable, give and seek counsel, and pray. These relationships could take many forms. An elder might disciple a younger member, a more mature Christian might disciple a newer Christian, or peers might disciple one another.
